CENTRAL POLICE ORGANISATIONS EXAMINATIONS

Union Public Service Commission will hold a Written Examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as given out in the advertisement.

Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.

Scheme of Examination

It would consist of two parts :

A) Part I         - Written Examination (500 Marks) and
B) Part II         - Personality test/Interview (100 Marks)

A) – Part I : Written examination: It will have two Papers –

Paper I           (Objective Type Multiple Choice); and
Paper II          (Conventional Type).
